Refuge for the Meeks
Facebook | Bandcamp | Soundcloud | Tumblr | Myspace | Twitter
The two most common ways to treat Social Phobia are with medication and cognitive behavioral therapy, yet these can be avoided by utilising another less known ‘coping skill’ – stick your head into electro-shocksoul hardcore rockin riddums and scream your streptococcus ridden throat into bits or soul your bitch voice up as high as it’ll go.Refuge for the Meeks have found the latter to be quite effective.
Refuge for the Meeks are sonic jack-nannys, they bawl epic echo school playground chants, they are an A.D.D chain gang, they lost their keys, they inaudibly seiged Doris Troy and ate humble pie with Big Maybelle, they ejaculate electrons. They are meek.

Lucy Kitchen
Website | Facebook | YouTube | Bandcamp | SoundCloud | MySpace
Lucy Kitchen is a Southampton based singer-songwriter, a self-confessed ‘folky bird’ who cites influences from the likes of Joni Mitchell, Mazzy Star, Laura Veirs, Bon Iver, Neil Young and Nick Drake. She crafts delicate and haunting songs intimately sung and backed with lullaby guitars, splashed with flute and glockenspiel.
‘The hype is to be believed; this is a solid performance of beautiful folksy songs borrowing heavily from old traditional balladry. You could hear a pin drop in the tent if the floor wasn’t made of grass as delicately picked guitar accompanies a sure but sultry vocal.’ (Folk and Tumble).

A five piece Indie-rock band based in a Hampshire town built around a nuclear weapons facility. Formed in mid 2012 they take their name from the cult novel by Shane Jones, both their hometown and the novel feature heavily thematically. A rather conceptual band considering their origins stem from the hardcore-punk scene. With a sound that encompasses the epic guitar pomp of the national, swirling Post-rock and crushing Shoe-gaze revivalism. This combined with a penchant for long intricate and often irregular song structures, layered instrumentation, bombast, PunkRock and green tea.
For fans of - Brand New, Arcade Fire, The National, Modest Mouse, Godspeed, British Sea Power, Sonic Youth, Whirr, Explosions In The Sky, Wolf Parade, F****d Up, Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, My Vitriol, Silver Mt Zion, Titus Andronicus.

Kidd Feather
Website | Facebook | Soundcloud | iTunes | instagram | YouTube
Kidd Feather is a young, East London-based electro-pop musician. His sound can be described as experimental, energetic, and eminently danceable. He’s been writing lyrics and composing melodies all his life, drawing inspiration from artists as diverse as Annie Lennox, Air, Radiohead, James Blake or Bibio
His single Sirene is full of distorted, trippy vocals, with a sound that evokes vulnerability and confusion, yet optimism as well. It’s about temptation, the lure of danger, the paradox that what can be bad for us can also be very appealing – it’s the contradiction that’s inside all of us.
